From this evening’s FEC Report covering the month of July:
LNC FEC July Report
Individual donations $47,281.53
of which $17,153.99 were “itemized” and
and $30,127.54 were “unitemized”.
The LNC also received $27,567.00 from the Libertarian Mutual Aid PAC, which had been launched by Pat Ford.
“itemized” means that the donor has given more than $200 in the year, and therefore is identified by name, address, and occupation in the public FEC records.
Operating expenditures came to $80,142.99. Expenditures were therefore larger than income by almost $33,000, of which $27,567 were covered by the Libertarian Mutual Aid PAC.
Large individual donors were $4611 from Steve Dasbach, $1952 from the Libertarian Party of Maryland, and $1536 from Moellman Enterprises “The LNC Customer Relations Management assets were sold to this company at Fair Market Value.”
Donors might be more inclined to return if the LNC made real legal moves toward recovery of the funds embezzled by McArdle. It’s bad enough when an organization makes poor spending decisions. It’s worse when that organization gets stolen from and can’t even bring itself to respond.
They seemed to indicate that they might. If only they had a paralegal on the LNC that was willing to put in hundreds of hours of volunteer work which cost them nothing. Oh wait! They did! And Nekhaila chose to protect a harasser and have his own serious issues with fiduciary duty.
So the finances are even worse?
See Where Your Money Went.
I had never heard of Libertarian Mutual Aid PAC, so I looked it up. Its web site says it does things like donate water and food to homeless people and helps with disaster relief.

So I wondered why it had given $27,000 to the LNC. I checked the FEC filing to see if there was some notation. There was not. But, it said the year to date total was $42,567. I’m still wondering why they are giving money to the LNC instead of spending it on homeless people and disaster relief.
They are part of the Joint Fundraising Committee. In accord with the JFC agreement: Via the JFC they raise money up to their donation limit. 10% of that money stays with them to cover “administrative expenses”. They keep that which they do not spend on administration, to spend on their purpose. 90% of the money passes up to the LNC. The LNC spends it in accord with the dictates of the JFC, which are the dictates of HHS Secretary Kennedy.
It’s run by Pat Ford, Region 6 representative to LNC.
