Michigan LP Requests Chadderdon Removal

We expect more coverage at a later date of this matter.

Last night I made a request that the LPMI LEC consider the following motion to request that the Region 1 State Chairs immediately remove Andrew Chadderdon as the Region 1 Representative to the National Party LNC. The motion read:

I move that the Libertarian Party of Michigan Executive Board formally request that the chairs of the Region 1 state parties immediately initiate action to remove and replace Andrew Chadderdon as the Region 1 Representative to the National Libertarian Party Libertarian Executive Committee (LNC), on the grounds that his continued refusal to authorize the release of interpleaded Libertarian Party of Michigan funds is directly contrary to the interests of the Libertarian Party of Michigan and its members.

The motion passed and a letter is being sent to the Region 1 Chairs requesting that Andrew Chadderdon be removed as Region 1 Rep to the LNC.

I introduced this as Andrew Chadderdon’s opposition to restoring the Comerica bank accounts to the LPMI is current, and ongoing harm to the LPMI’s ability to function.

Withholding access to party funds during an active election cycle is a fiduciary and representational failure, regardless of past grievances.

This motion does not relitigate past disputes or reopen settled cases.

The request is properly directed to Region 1 state chairs, consistent with regional representation norms, rather than attempting unilateral action by Michigan alone.
