Richard Winger is correct that the Libertarian Party of Arkansas petition drive was successful. The petition they completed in Arkansas allows them to run candidates for all partisan offices, which includes all federal and state offices and some of the county and city/town offices, without having to gather additional petition signatures.

Retaining recognized party status in Arkansas required getting 3% of the vote for President or Governor, which the LP has never done in Arkansas, but it has come close to achieving this for Governor a couple of times.

The petition drive to place the Free New Mexico Party, which is the Libertarian National Committee affiliate, on the ballot was successful. The Free New Mexico Party put Chase Oliver on the ballot fpr President and he did not receive enough votes to meet the vote test to retain recognized minor party status.

Is that seven anonymous affiliates, or six plus one ex-affiliate somewhere in new england?

One of them is guaranteed to be Josiah Baker of the Libertarian Party of Tennessee. Which is hilarious, given how he was throwing a temper tantrum every time one of his people (MC) lost, and a lot of the delegations within eyeshot were entertained and laughing at his expense. And when he does finally leave the party, good riddance to bad rubbish.

Agree. He and the state LP went ballistic over Chase Oliver, refusing to endorse or support him. He and they claimed gay people “did not represent Tennessee”.

A hodge-podge of sloganeering. cliche catch phrases, and superficial thinking.

Whoever wrote the letter is misinformed about Arkansas. The Arkansas Libertarian petition drive for 2026 succeeded and the party is on the ballot.

Interesting. I think the point they were making is that LP Arkansas made the petition goal without the LNC support but got money anyways.
