A week and a half after the LNC voted to disaffiliate LPNH, the LNC National Chair formally notified the LPNH that they were no longer the Libertarian Party’s affiliate party in New Hampshire. A PDF of the notice appears at this link. The 30 days for the LPNH to file an appeal, should it choose to do so, now begins.
In a message posted on the LNC’s public list and sent by email and papermail to LPNH Chair Jeremy Kauffman, newly-elected LNC Chair Evan McMahon wrote

Dear Mr. Kauffman:
By the authority vested in the Libertarian National Committee under Libertarian Party Bylaws Article 5(6), you are hereby provided with notice of the revocation of the status of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire as an affiliate of the Libertarian Party.
This notice is sent pursuant to the motion made and adopted by the Libertarian National Committee on May 25, 2026, to revoke the affiliation of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire for cause. That motion passed by a vote of 15-2-0-0, which exceeds the threshold required under Bylaws Article 5(6).
The motion to revoke the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire’s affiliation identified the following as cause therefore:
The bylaws are clear that affiliate Parties shall not endorse the candidate of another Party. Despite this, the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire openly and publicly endorsed President Trump during the election.
Furthermore, they have crudely and repeatedly undermined our own candidates, and have espoused numerous anti-libertarian positions on a National level.
Be it Resolved that because of these reasons and more, the Libertarian National Committee moves to disaffiliate the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, mandating that they cease and desist the use of the Party name and logo, until such a time as the LNC recognizes a new affiliate in New Hampshire that shares our Party’s foundational values.
Bylaws Article 5(6) provide that the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire shall have 30 days from receipt of this notice challenge the revocation of its status as an affiliate by written appeal to the Judicial Committee within 30 days of receipt of this notice. Failure to appeal within 30 days shall confirm the revocation and bar any later challenge or appeal.
Sincerely,
Evan McMahon
Chair
Libertarian National Committee
