The June Membership report is out. The sustaining membership of the LPUS increased by three.
The LNC obtained an injunction ordering the LPNM to stop calling itself the Libertarian Party of New Mexico. Before the injunction goes into effect, the LNC must post a $20,000 bond. We are advised that they have not yet done so. By report the LNC is attempting to obtain a line of credit to generate the $20,000. Why would they do this when they have 2/3 of a million or more in the bank? We are advised that some observers believe that the leadership does not have the votes on the LNC to appropriate the money. However, this explanation does not make complete sense, because it would appear that the leadership would also need an LNC vote to open a line of credit.
