Kosin Files Harassment Complaint with LNC

As posted on Facebook:

Brittany Kosin for LNC at Large

This morning, I submitted a formal complaint to the Libertarian National Committee regarding LNC At-Large Representative Adrian Malagon after he publicly insulted life member @carynannharlos by calling her a “mentally ill woman who can’t seem to get her life,” then directed a veiled threat at me, stating:
“If you tag me and hurl unprovoked insults at me again, my blocking you will be the least of your worries.”
As a delegate to the 2024 National Convention and a candidate for LNC At-Large, I followed the party’s process under the Harassment Policy in the Policy Manual.
Instead of taking the matter seriously, several members of LNC leadership immediately downplayed, dismissed, or deflected:
Chair Steven Nekhaila said it didn’t qualify as harassment or a threat, and called my legal concerns “legally unsound.”
Meredith Hays responded by telling me to “stop engaging in harassment of this board.”
Region 6 Alternate Ben Weir decided to critique the style of my emails rather than the content, accusing me of using ChatGPT and stating he refuses to read anything “GPT-coded.”
When Caryn Ann Harlos stood up for process and integrity, she too was ignored—and I was warned not to “weaponize” the complaint process.
Let me be perfectly clear:
This is not a factional issue.
This is not personal drama.
This is about whether we, as a party, will hold those in power to the same standard we demand of others.
When threats and demeaning rhetoric from LNC representatives are excused and legitimate complaints are met with gaslighting, it signals that our party culture is broken. And it tells future delegates, women, and new members: if you speak up, you will be attacked or ignored.
But I will not be silent.
I will continue to speak up—not out of spite, but because the Non-Aggression Principle applies internally as much as it does politically.
I’m running for LNC At-Large because we must build a Libertarian Party rooted in accountability, transparency, and mutual respect.

With all due respect to Ms. Kosin, politics is a full-contact sport and arguing about policies that are not designed to apply to her but to LNC members and staff is foolish. The incident she is describing is isolated compared to the complaints Ms. Harlos says she made. Ms. Kosin’s actions take away from those complaints made by Ms. Harlos.

Maybe that is Ms. Kosin’s objective?

Multiple people complaining establishes a pattern of behavior from Malagon. One person being targeted for harassment less frequently than another, and making a formal complaint about it, takes nothing away from the complaints of the primary target of harassment.

Why don’t you think it is appropriate to ask Malagon to explain what he meant by “the least of your worries”?

Adrian Malagon seems to be a detriment to the Libertarian Party. He continually insults and threatens other National Committee members.
