A statement by Nicholas Sarwark:
Dear Libertarian Party Donors,
We can do better!
Because Adrian Malagon and Kathy Yenascavich have resigned, two seats on the Libertarian National Committee are vacant.
I am standing for election to one of those seats. I have extensive previous experience serving our Party on the LNC from 2014 through 2020, a period of strong growth in members, donors, and candidates.
If you want a focus on results, please contact your LNC members. Urge them to vote for me to fill one of those vacant seats. Time is short! The LNC will fill these seats at its August 3 meeting.

Yours in liberty,
Nicholas J. Sarwark
Chair, Libertarian National Committee (2014-2020)
It’s an indication of how dreadful things have become for the Libertarian Party that many now think of Sarwark’s chairmanship as a Golden Age.
Golden Age, no.
Those are your words.
But unlike Michael Heise, Dave Smith, Angela McArdle, Ms. Angela McArdle and LP Mises Caucus, Nick Sarwark was a success in the LP/LNC.
Under his leadership LP grew in both membership, revenue and elected officials.
And we actually had a printed newletter!
Facts.
Do you think a printed newsletter is an actual relevant marker of success in 2025?
Yes. I do.
One of the many markers I listed.
I was referring back to this.

Name a better term as Chair than my three.
I can’t…..but I haven’t been around for 20, 30 or 40 years like some others who post here. I didn’t want to be presumptuous.
In recent history, however, the LNC under your leadership has had more success, no matter how one evaluates quantitatively, than any other past LNC.
Every Chair has had downsides. During your first year and a half the donor count dropped by 3,600 for some reason and the LNC became dysfunctional during your final year, although perhaps a good portion of that could be attributed to CAH.
Post UMP/Archimedes membership actually peaked under JBH. In 2000-02 there were twice as many candidates, which is one sign of party enthusiasm.
But, yeah, your middle 3.5 years were exceptional. And you always made national conventions seem more professional than when anyone else was Chair, despite the attempts of idiots like that fat stripper to derail things.
I don’t agree with him on a thing or two, but overall I think he did okay. Better than some that came before him in fact.
Readers should consider finding a second good candidate.
I messaged the LNC board declaring my support. I think having someone like him back in the game would at least get things moving again. Maybe it could convince some people to return to the party.
I just contacted 6 of the members and asked them to vote for Nicholas Sarwark. I will do some more tomorrow.
I generally agree with you George. I don’t think I do this time. I can’t really say why… just don’t like the vibe.
I think that he has the interest, knowledge, experience and energy to help revitalize the Libertarian Party.
This would be a step in the right direction to get the train back on the tracks, so to speak.
Mr. Sarwark’s term as LNC chair was successful by any metric used to evaluate.
Revenue. Donations. Membership. Elected officials.
He had more national media exposure than any recent chair and he knows how to articulate a message.
I emailed Pat Ford.
