The American Political Situation Is Deteriorating

My attention was drawn by a political cartoon seen on Facebook, on a usually calm page from a usually calmer poster.  The direction is inadvisable, but may be where we are going.  I do not havea  link to the original artist, whose name I cannot read.  This parties wishing to avoid this direction might usefully speak up more vigorously in favor of civil liberties.
