Evan McMahon did a superb job of running the LNC meeting. Yes, he did once seem to have missed that the vote had been on the amendment not the motion, but the outcome was not changed. He had teh good fortunate that some of the less fortunate LNC members were not re-elected.
The LNC has at least one excessively exuberant member who had to be told to bring himself to order and who promptly did so.
The LNC has one very-long-term member who was told very firmly — I paraphrase slightly — ‘Sir, I will run my own meetings, thank you” when the member tried to take control of the meeting. Prior chairs seem not to have been willing to do that.
Evan did a great job. The exuberant member though was an ass throughout but he kept it just under the time limit when he would need to be called to order and Evan picked his battles. His alternate was far more professional.
