Why did they have the low number of voters? Was it because of poor turnout, or is that because of the way they elect officers?

I am curious as to the boundaries of the Northen, Central and Southern areas. Not looking for a map just a general idea of what cities are included in each one.

In the past, the Southern Region was the ten southernmost counties including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Kern, and the rest was the Northern Region, with vice-chairs for each. In 2018 they rolled back to one vice-chair and established three regions with coordinators, with Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties going to the Central region, the Central Region between there and just south of the Bay area, and the Northern region everything else north of that.

Hope that explains it some. See Bylaw 12, Section 1-B at https://mywikis-wiki-media.s3.us-central-1.wasabisys.com/lpedia/CA_Bylaws_2022.pdf
