The rot didn’t stop at the national level. State parties in California, Colorado, Michigan, and ten others joined the JFC. Many of these state affiliates, untrained in complex federal filings, now face massive fines for late reporting—fines that could easily exceed the meager cash they earned from the Kennedy campaign.
But for the “inner circle,” the JFC was a goldmine:
- Pat Ford (LNC Member): Established a PAC to funnel JFC money into his own non-profit.
- The Mises PAC: Received funds now being used to influence internal party elections. The PAC is now chaired by McArdle.
- Angela McArdle: Launched a pro-Trump PAC, “Libertarian Unity,” which used JFC funds to pay for pro-Trump ads and cover her own national travel expenses.
McArdle’s financial maneuvers extended far beyond the JFC. She co-founded Rescue the West, Inc., a Trump-supporting organization. Between that entity and her PAC, she pulled in over $795,000 from PACs supporting RFK Jr.
The most damning discovery? McArdle used a Delaware shell company, Swing Vote Strategists, LLC—incorporated by her domestic partner—to conceal payments from the JFC to her household. This mirrored the scandal involving another hidden LLC (Freedom Calls) that ultimately led to her resignation as LNC Chair.
I believe we all should commend your work uncovering and reporting all of this. You put in a lot of time and effort over the past several years.
But now that it has been made clear that there was a problem, is anything actually going to happen to her or any of the others involved? At this point, it would seem to me to be unlikely that the party could reclaim funds that were misappropriated. And the funds that came through Kennedy really aren’t the party’s and there’s no way to trace who the donors were to give it back.
Or at this point is it your orimary intent to simply keep shining light on the issue and make sure that no one is elected or reelected to any leadership position in your national party at the upcoming convention?
Everything needs to be brought to light. I am never going to rest until I find out what really happened in Colorado. I know what I believe, but I want to be able to prove it fully. So many people are not seeing the full picture of the corruption and that is what Jake is doing. Putting the pieces together.
Thank you for the kind words. I’m not sure. Supposedly the LNC may sue her for the Freedom Calls money, but I don’t believe it has happened yet.
My goal is just to tell the story and hopefully people take it as a warning for the future. Also their efforts weren’t just to do the joint fundraising committee in 2024. There were plans for 2028 as well and I’m not convinced they have fully given up on them.
Angela boldly announced her plans to bring JF Vance to 2028 convention with plan to perhaps support him.
