1) Our sources spotted a new web page Nota 300 — nota300.com. It is unclear if it is an official Mises Caucus page or if it is from supporters. They encourage readers to donate to the LNC to support Angela McArdle and her supporters on the LNC.
They have a well-done color-coded map showing whether states supported Oliver or supported NOTA on the final Presidential ballot. They also have a well-done flow diagram showing how votes moved between Presidential ballot rounds, complete with some analysis. Ads for swag and less than tactful meme illos finish their current page.
A few translations will be useful in reading this web page. “HR” and “HR Manager” refer to LP Presidential candidate Chase Oliver, who apparently was once employed in such an operation. The “Fed” is his running mate, Michael Ter Maat, who at one time worked in law enforcement. “simps for the HR department” are Oliver supporters.
2) Angela McArdle posted on X.com:
There has been tremendous backlash in response to the LP National POTUS nominee, I will address it [today] on a livestream.
Your Editor missed the backlash and would welcome readers sending us examples. We have not heard where the livestream will appear.
3) Idaho: Our correspondents write:
“Hi George – I want to put you in touch with REDACTED regarding some Mises / Idaho LP activity that you may be interested in reporting on. To make a long story as short as possible – the Mises Caucus used a very questionable legal loophole to force their take over of the state.
“They used an antiquated Precinctman process, (something the party was deliberately not using in preparation for a lawsuit against the state). A single elected Precinctman then called a meeting with a quorum of 1 (and without informing the state executive board) and dedicated himself as the sole member of the “state central committee” and then used that power to remove [TWO LIBERTARIANS] from the party and elect a new chair.
“Flashforward 2 years and once again a single person was elected Precinctman… but this time it was a non-mises member.”
Readers may imagine where this is going, but it will be a separate post or several of them.
