I was able to location the 2025 LNC Budget. It is an accompanying file. Note the projected normal income of $75,000 a month, and an assumed $200,000+ for the year from the Kennedy Joint Fundraising Campaign. I will not say ore about it at this time, but it is there for you all to read.
Note a line entry for rent of the LNC’s Office Building. No income is assumed.
I would never vote for a budget like this. It looks like it was created by an order from the chair to look like it is balanced.
My guess is that if the treasurer gave them a realistic budget of what to expect, it would be voted down, and he would be thrown out for telling the truth.
Remember, they committed to the obligations of the victory fund. Who knows what that will be… And my guess is that with the election over, and the Kennedy campaign probably getting ready to shut down, the victory fund will no longer be legal. That is assuming it was legal before, and I believe it was not.
Income used to be a lot higher.
Correct – according to FEC Reports the ave pre-takeover month in 2021 was $175.7K. In 2019 it was lower at $125.1K & $132.4K in 2017. Even 2009 which was the worse non-election year in the last 25+ was $89.7K…. with the exception of post takeover 2023 at $81.5K. So as sad as $75K a month is – it might be a “reasonable” assessment of their failures.
