Major FEC Action on Kennedy Victory Fund Activity

A series of FEC notices have been sent to some Federal Committees participating in the Kennedy Victory Fund.

According to Jake Porter on X.com, based in part on an investigation by former LNC Treasurer Todd Hagopian:

-4 state parties appear to have filed with false information.
-Organizations involving 3 LNC members apparently didn’t file reports.
-1 LNC member received a potentially unethical contribution on the day of a vote.

One of the non-filing PACs, according to the relevant FEC letter, has as its Treasurer LNC Chair Angela McArdle.

So far as I can determine, the Kennedy Victory Fund itself is not currently being viewed by the Federal Election Commission.

We expect to have much more news later on this breaking story.

I traced down on a couple of these after reading this report. “Illegally self-dealing“ is a very kind way of putting it. You must not have had enough coffee today. Or maybe too much.

What I find interesting, is the payments to another set of brand new PACs operated by individual LNC members. And since they were all created about the same time, and all took donations at the same time from the same organization, this not only looks like RICO, it is RICO!

Based on the numbering of the committees, it looks like there are four state parties that were not FEC filing and have not yet filed, but needed to. And the letters to them very clearly point out that there is no grace period for the fines, which began the day the reports were due a little bit over a month ago.

Not surprising as many state affiliates of the LNC are not FEC Filers & have been for years trying to avoid filing with the FEC.

However, being part of a JFC requires filing – something very new to these affiliates. No one is doing FEC training – or any training for these affiliates. There is no staff member, like in the past with Bob J & Cara S, to help the affiliates with compliance.

Also these are Fed Funds that should be kept separate from the state’s general funds – and spent on federal activity. One must wonder how many of these affiliates are also in violation of co-mingling funds?

Finally there are other filing & reporting requirements in many states for these types of funds. I suspect many affiliates have not done those either.

So AM has not only bankrupt the national party – but placed each state affiliate who has participated in this JFC in jeopardy as well. All while illegally self-dealing.

If your state affiliate is tired of being a partner to this sh-t, perhaps you should encourage them to at: https://www.liberalpartyusa.org/
