Roos Appeal to Judical Committee.

Hector Roos has filed an appeal with the Judicial Committee. Supporting material was also filed.  Third Party Watch can confirm that the appeal has been received by the Judicial Committee. The appeal asks the Judicial Committee to overturn the adoption of the Special Investigatory Committee Report on Angela McArdle.  The requested corrections are:

RELIEF REQUESTED
Petitioners respectfully request that the Judicial Committee grant the following relief:
1. Declare that the LNC’s adoption of the Special Investigatory Committee report at its June 9, 2025 meeting was in violation of the Statement of Principles and Article 3 of the Bylaws.
2. Void the adoption of the SIC report as an official record or finding of the LNC and remanding its consideration to the LNC.
3. If those resolutions were validly adopted, void all motions and resolutions adopted by the LNC at the June 9, 2025 meeting and August 24, 2025 meeting that rely on or reference the SIC report or its conclusions.
4. Declare that Party actions based on material misrepresentation are null and void regardless of parliamentary compliance.
5. Declare that Angela McArdle did not violate her fiduciary duty or commit embezzlement

Or perhaps the “Misattributed to Alan Dershowitz” strategy:

“If the facts are on your side, pound the facts into the table. If the law is on your side, pound the law into the table. If neither the facts nor the law are on your side, pound the table.”

      NAILED IT!

Ah, it’s the “Misattributed to WC Fields” appeal strategy:

“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.”

      Double nailed it.

In Exhibit 12 of the supporting material, McArdle admits that her domestic partner, Padgett, was running Freedom Calls. I’m not sure that will have the intended effect Roos wants, considering one of his arguments was the alleged lack of evidence that Padgett ran Freedom Calls.

There is nothing unusual in that. Had the SIC been limited to just that, we may not be here.

The alleged “material misrepresentation” in the SIC is all in Mr. Roos’s own mind.

If the LNC would have done something when Angela first hired her live in boyfriend and baby daddy, none of this would have happened.
No other non-profit Board in the country would have allowed a nepotism hire like that. I sent multiple emails to my representative at the time.

Instead of canceling Angela’s nepotism hire, LNC renewed Padgett’s contract as Angela claimed only he was capable of doing the job.
    Complete BS.

Slippery Slope. Angela and Padgett realized the LNC was neutered and incompetent, so they continued their grift of donor funds ultimately embezzling ~50k.

I am dumbfounded as to why Roos is so hellbent to defend McArdle’s crimes, but here we are.

Amazing. He makes a case that Angela and or Austin didn’t own Freedom Calls, LLC and then proceeds to destroy his own case.

Also, his exhibit from Angela appears to admit more potential activity that might warrant an additional investigation by the board.

Failing to do an independent investigation, e.g. failing to check the corporate filing themselves.

If the report is so badly done as the appeal details, what reason was there for the drafters to do this other than to fool party members into hating McArdle?

    • Joseph Joseph September 9, 2025

      It’s not about “hating” anyone.
And nobody needs to be “fooled” to discern McArdle and Padgett embezzled donor funds from LNC. The evidence is clear as day.

Angela McArdle was a failure as LNC chair and was caught embezzling money from the Libertarian Party.

If LNC doesn’t go after her, myself, along with many others who have also stated the same, will never again give money to LNC.
