On 9/19/2025 there was a meeting of the LNC Executive Committee. They passed a resolution asking the LNC in effect to approve joining and spending $25,000 on the Vest lawsuit, the money having already been spent. Further spending is being handled by the LNC’s D&O insurer, which incidentally apparently means that the insurer is in control of all legal activity.
There was also a motion to join a lawsuit against the New Mexico Secretary of State, who made a serious mistake in preparing the 2024 general election ballot, and who is being difficult about correcting the matter. The LNC must approve the motion.
