LP 2026 National Convention Liveblog Arrived

I will liveblog the convention if I can find a link to a livestream.  If you see one, please advise at phillies@4liberty.net

I am advised by Joseph Miller that the convention is starting at 10AM this year; livestream may start closer to that time.

Repeating from Facebook, a source writes: “George Phillies per Paul Darr, an official livestream would have cost $6,000 due to the venue contract requiring union labor. They could not find volunteers to do it. Several individuals will be doing their own livestreams, but I don’t know where to find them.”

We will forward reports from friends on-site as they arrive.

We are advised, see comments, that they have not started yet as of 10:15.

Nick Sarwark writes: We are at ease until 11:00 AM, they are trying to get a live stream up.

Per Aloysius in comments: Per Sean Levasseur on Twitter, they are “at ease” until 11 AM and will have a livestream up at that time.

Pat Ford is speaking about convention events and announcing events.  Now a Parliamentarian is explaining parliamentary procedure. He gave a good explanation,

We come to order and reach the Credentials committee. 539 delegates, 15 alternates.  Committee has several items. One Republican tried to become a delegate.  A list of Michiganders asked to be New Mexico delegates, but state bylaws requires delegates to be residents. The outcome is unclear.  There is a motion to add the New Mexico delegates. No New Mexico residents are present. Martin claims that New Mexico bylaws permit the delegates. Dasbach says the New Mexico bylaws do not allow this.   Q from floor: Don’t national party bylaws require that at least one delegate must be a state resident? People on stage huddle around a computer screen trying to answer this arcane question. Chair rules there are no NM delegates so the Michigan people cannot be added. Motion to add Chrissy Wickers Ohio to the Ohio delegation. Redpath speaks in favor. Motion passes without objection. Motion to add Daniel Delrocco to the NY delegation. Motion requires 2/3 and passes. Someone tries to add a New Mexico person to their delegation. Harlos, point of order: Is he eligible under the New Mexico rules? Motion to postpone indefinitely.  Person was denied right to participate in the NM state convention so he cannot be a delegate. Q if the DC delegates can be sat if none of them are DC residents. Chair: no. Q how to fix the DC delegation. Jim Fulner (CT) moves the previous question.  It passes. The eventually remember to vote on the report itself. Motion carries.

Jake Porter on his substack is also live blogging.

According to Travis Bost via email, they haven’t started yet even though they were supposed to start at 10 and it is currently 10:15. So maybe a livestream is coming?

Disgraceful, now they can destroy the party in secret. They could have raised donations if need be.

I would have written a check for $6000 for the livestream, if asked.
