September LNC Financial Transactions Show Disastrous Fundraising Numbers

The FEC Filing for the LNC covering September has now been published.  From it we learn:

LNC Income and Outgo during September of this year show a disastrous lack of conventional fundraising via donations. For the month, the LNC brought in $56,388 in individual donations.  The LNC also had huge cash transactions due to the Kenedy Victory Fund.  The debts of the LNC at the end of the month were $56,000 less than cash on hand.

Transactions between 9/1 and 9/30 of this year were:

cash on hand (start) $900,526
receipts $926,090
Disbursements $1,328,197
Cash on hand (end) $498,419
Debts at end $442,568

The total of itemized and unitemized income from persons other than political committees was $56,388. That number represents the non-Kennedy Victory Fund donations to our party, the donations from our conventional members.

On the bright side, we are still ahead of our traditional competitors. Funds raised for the month:

    Green Party $20903
    Constitution Party $2676

The era of parties is over, but some have not quite caught on yet.

There was once a time, not so long ago, that monthly revenue from recurring gifts alone was over $55K a month (according to various reports that can be found online).

The LNC of the last 2.5 years have turned their back on traditional political fundraising methods, failed to upkeep the recurring monthly pledge program, abandoned the membership program, and somehow managing to spend like they won the lotto.

The JFC was supposed to bring in needed funds – not unneeded additional spending. This is not surprising – as why would anyone think they could manage this better than they manage everything else?
