LNC Finances for August 2025

The LNC’s September FEC filing covering its August financial transfers has been posted. It shows itemized donations of $82,058 and unitemized donations of $25,877, to be matched against expenditures of $110,783. The income is about $3000 short of the expenditures.

However, the itemized donations included a maximum donation from one person, $10,000 from an LNC member, and $5000 from a prominent Libertarian. These total $58,890, so the conventional itemized donations come to $23,168, and the total conventional donations come to $49,045.

The LNC can cover the gap between the income and the expenses with money from the building sale, but this step is burning capital from long ago to cover current expenditures, which is wisely believed to be highly unsound.

This is an improvement though. I want a living organization for the new leadership in GR, so I applaud the modest jump.

I’m no longer a donor but would hope to be again in the future. Neither is my husband. Neither are a lot of people in Colorado. I think on average they lose about $1K easily each month per affiliate just from the face plant after McArdle’s departure. This could have been great year..

Unfortunately the attitude seems to be not BOTH finding new fields and getting back the faithful but crapping on the faithful hoping to replace them.
