Nekhaila to Run for At-Large LNC Seat

We quote his announcement on FaceBook:

Many people have been asking me if it is my intention to run again as Chair in 2026.
From the moment I took on the role of Chairman, my mission was straightforward: stop the bleed, increase membership, and repair the board’s reputation (as much as possible) so we can hand off a strong and feared Libertarian Party to the next LNC.
Ultimately, I wanted to use my position as a tenured board member, businessman, and someone who is incredibly passionate about the Libertarian Party to advance the organization we all hold near and dear.
With the revival of Project Archimedes and the nearing launch of the Parity Project, I’m optimistic we can invest in membership growth and fundraising in a way that doesn’t just stabilize us, but helps us thrive, and makes growth a permanent component of our strategy.
It is no secret that when I took over, the Party was facing roughly -$15,000/month in shortfalls. Fortunately, we’ve seen positive months since then, including max donations, renewed attention and support from large donors, and successful appeals.
Vice Chairman Paul Darr and I have been putting in the reps to stop the bleed, and my goal is to have us on solid footing by May 2026, the roadmap is laid to get us there.
The board has also laid out a candidate strategy to field 500 Libertarian candidates in 2026, while developing in-house support in the form of courses, materials, and technology.
We continue to push Defend the Guard, a policy more pertinent now than ever. We’re also speaking with Lars Mapstead to push legislation in all 50 states to unrig ballot access laws and make it easier (and cheaper) for third parties to get on the ballot.
And we continue to advance libertarian ideology and policy in an environment where visibility matters more than ever, and where we’re earning it through disciplined messaging and hard work. We have seen substantial earned media on large traditional platforms, not just social media bubbles.
Lastly, we revived our relationship with the International Alliance of Libertarian Parties, including moving the organization from Europe to the United States. Our next meeting of the international congress commences in February, where we will vote on our new constitution and bylaws.
Overall, the libertarian movement is growing not just here at home, but internationally.
I want to be where I am most valuable. For this term, that has been as Chairman of the largest third party in the United States. Come May 2026, I want to focus more on business, family, and other nonprofit work.
For that reason, I will not be seeking re-election as Chair. However, I will be seeking an At-Large position to help facilitate the work we started, assist the next Chair and the new board, and help carry this effort through. If I wish to continue on the board after that, I’ll determine it from there.
I want to thank you all for putting your trust in me. I understand I was elected by the board; regardless of process, trust is still trust, and I take that seriously.
While there are still many opportunities ahead, my vision for the LNC is that we should be, at minimum, a $30 million/year organization, with substantial investment in staff, candidate support, and affiliate support. In the next ten years, we can be at parity with Republicans and Democrats in terms of visibility, fundraising, and growth.
Sincerely,
Steven Nekhaila
Chairman, LNC
impotentes defendere libertatem non possunt
“Those without power cannot defend freedom”
TL;DR: I am not seeking re-election as Chair. I am running for At-Large. The future belongs to those who materialize it.

Today definitely proven that Nekhaila is allowing “secret discussions” in defiance of the JC ruling. I said this on twitter:

BUSTED AND PROVEN, that under the Chairmanship of
    @StevenNekhaila
the LNC refuses to follow a JC ruling. How dare they complain about the Administration being “above the law” when he allows behaviour that is “above the bylaws” that he has a fiduciary duty to follow. How can he with any integrity condemn McArdle for failure of fiduciary duty WHEN HE IS GUILTY OF THE SAME. Yes it might not be embezzlement, but it is a gross breach of fiduciary duty.

YOU WOULD BE FOOLS TO EVER ELECT HIM TO ANY LNC POSITION AGAIN.

“lncboard@lp.org” email list…shows up recently in public list.

Austin forwarded an ongoing discussion showing it. That’s not the only time. Multiple times chains have been forwarded after discussion going on a while.

“International Alliance of Libertarian Parties” translates as “Pretend Nixon’s 1971 law subsidizing looter candidates went away.” It did not. In 1988 Atlas Shrugged translated into Brazilian vernacular hit the bookstores. Politicians called a Constitutional convention to again amend Vargas’ 90000-word diktat. In one line they added Nixon’s formula stating “political party candidates shall receive government handouts.” The formula was copied all over Europe as well. The outcome? Everyone gets taxpayer loot EXCEPT libertarian upstarts. Right now Brazil has almost exactly the number of parties Weimar Germany had when Hitler took power. Adding one more would be TOO MUCH burden on taxpayers.

Revived? It was never dead. Nekhaila managed to crap on everyone and steal valor at every opportunity- Lark and Neale would like a word.

Absolutely not. He tolerated absolute harassment on the LNC, belittled a member who complained about sexual harassment from an LNC member, and teamed up with McArdle to dismiss Vest’s suit. He has been a man without spine, and remember, he tried to remove me for getting Chase on the ballot in Colorado (though that shows no loyalty to Mises, he is a coward with no loyalty).

Thanks. I had gathered as much from the screed. One declarative statement did cheer me up: “I will not be seeking re-election as Chair.” Good riddance to that one.

If I go, I will be whipping against him. They have threatened me over NDA to tell all, and I won’t break my NDA, but what’s public is enough.

Pray tell, who threatened you over NDA on which topics?

          • Caryn Ann Harlos Caryn Ann Harlos December 26, 2025

Nekhaika and Oliver Hall. I can’t say what topics in prudence. I’m going to speak to next LNC about permission to speak. I will not break my NDA. You know how faithful I’ve been to that.

But ask yourselves how other LNC members break it with impunity and I am threatened. My advice to future LNC members, don’t sign it. It’s not required by Bylaws.

Also this LNC *can* release me and if I’m wrong, rebut me. But they choose not to. The “LNC INC.” at all costs. Even at the cost of Party members. Whatever, a contract is a contract, and I’ll keep it but members have EVERY right to demand that I be allowed to speak and withhold their vote from anyone on the current LNC .

I have sent some posts to the LNC about updating the material that is needed for outreach, 200 -250 word summaries on the website that can be printed by those handing them out as candidates or working booths.
I have specifically suggested we go after the barriers to prosperity such as zoning laws. We do have a piece up on the website that suggest we “End the War on Poverty” but nothing on zoning or other issues that are barriers to prosperity. What does it take to get a reply on some of these issues? Fighting for the right to own also requires the government change its policies.

Michael could profitably read the original 2541-word LP platform. It brought women freedom from Comstockism with 4000 votes despite being on only 2 state ballots. Next election our votecount was almost fifty times that, on 30 state ballots. The error was to let infiltrators pack the platform committee and inject vicious verbiage. With no platform committee the curve extrapolates to 16 million votes by 2016. Any motion to enlarge the platform is wisely seen as sabotage. The original platform, with no prospect of infiltraitor tampering, smartly precludes ku-klux, communist and nationalsocialist Trojan Horses.
