It’s a multi-page fundraising letter. It announces that the LNC has returned to many of the activities it had abandoned in recent years. It’s a good news letter.

You let your Libertarian Party membership lapse for one or more reasons. Are any of those reasons on this list…
Perhaps you felt like too much GOP-MAGA influence had infiltrated LP management and messaging.
I ran for Chair of the LNC (Libertarian National Committee) to end all that, and the committee members who ran with me shared that objective.
Perhaps you were offended and/or horrified by one particular manifestation of that GOP-MAGA infestation – the so-called Libertarian Party of New Hampshire.
When I ran for Chair, I promised to disaffiliate the toxic New Hampshire entity. At the first meeting of the new LNC, we did exactly that by a vote of 15-2-1.
The lopsided nature of that vote should show you that the new LNC is just as committed as I am to rejecting GOP-MAGA infiltration. And we will soon have a new and better New Hampshire affiliate!
Perhaps you felt like some LP leaders were too busy trying to make deals with Republicans, while making too little effort to support LP candidates.
I agree. We are reversing that practice. For example, the GOP is currently trying to intimidate and bribe LP candidates off the ballot in Iowa.
- They subjected our candidates to a barrage of text messages and phone calls begging them to drop out.
- One candidate got a phone call, purportedly from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., offering him a cushy government job if he would drop out.
- GOP operatives also threatened LP candidates with financial ruin, FEC investigations, and even threats against their families.
Important media outlets are reporting these attacks, including The Des Moines Register, Iowa Capital Dispatch, and Iowa Public Radio. But…
Our Iowa affiliate is standing firm, and so are we. No one is making deals with the GOP!
Instead, we’re taking action to support our candidates. But this isn’t the only example. See what I have to say about ballot access below.
Perhaps you felt like the GOP-populist infiltration had a questionable effect on party spending.
I agree. The LNC is pursuing civil litigation against a former party leader to recover funds that belonged to our members and mission. Take this as evidence that our new leadership team will be prudent with anv funds vou entrust to us.
Perhaps you were disappointed that past party leaders deemphasized ballot access.
I agree. Two major things make us different from all other third-party efforts. Our principles and our ballot status. People are constantly trying to start new parties or run independent campaigns, only to choke on the ballot requirements. But…
We don’t choke on those obstacles! We overcome them!
We are once again committed to achieving ballot status in all 50 states and DC!
I drove to Kentucky right after the national convention to gather signatures for Jeremy Todd in the House district Thomas Massie just lost in the primary. And…
We’ve increased the 2026 ballot access budget from $0 to $82,500 to gain status in Maryland and Massachusetts. More will follow! But that’s not all…
We’re working with a new organization, Ballots Without Barriers, to pursue a comprehensive plan for total victory over the ballot access blockade.

Perhaps you felt like party conventions were mismanaged and/or poorly promoted.

Perhaps you have fond memories of convention delegates shouting “1-800-ElectUs” on national TV and were disturbed to hear we had lost that number.
I agree. So 1-800-ElectUs is back!
Perhaps you felt like there was too little support for affiliates.
I want to do more and better. I will host monthly roundtables with our state chairs, and we’re relaunching regional training, with affiliates picking the topics.
Perhaps you felt like there was no vision for achieving ultimate success.
I agree. That’s why I’ve set two big goals for my term.
We have roughly 8,900 dues-paying, pledge-signed members. Our record best was roughly 33,000 in 2000. I don’t want to match the record. I want to double it.
My goal is 66,000 members by the end of my term!
We’ve already begun. We just had our first net month-over-month membership increase in a long time, and I had the honor of personally pinning five new Lifetime members at the recent national convention. But that’s only the start. Keep reading…

My two big goals are connected. Members mean money, money buys visibility, and visibility wins votes and members. This creates a virtuous circle of spiraling success!
Having 66,000 members is the key to raising $4 million and achieving everything else that will flow from that. But all of this is just the first down payment on a larger vision. We call that larger vision…
The Parity Project
The Parity Project aims to equalize the Libertarian Party with the Democrats and Republicans in size, funding, visibility, and electoral success.
We will do this by locating, recruiting, and mobilizing the millions of Americans who already self-identify as libertarians or hold mostly libertarian positions on the issues.

They’re not forgiven. They’re not ok. The problems are much, much more fundamental than that. They can start by asking building donors if we want our money back or not. But they won’t, because then they would be broke.
Is anyone going to put together a class action lawsuit about that? I’m surprised that hasn’t already happened on its own , but maybe I shouldn’t be. Maybe, regardless of How cynical I am about them now, I’m just not cynical enough.
I won’t be checking back here for answers. Text 205-534-1622 (no phone calls) if or when the answer is yes about the class action. I’ll sign on if that’s the only thing I need to do. My contribution was way too small for an individual lawsuit.

The biggest ballot access nuts to crack are Georgia and Alabama. Alabama has the worst ballot access in the nation.
